LEADS TEAM TO TITLE

Jason Stover of Williamston dominated this race after the first mile, finishing first in 15:24 and leading his team to the title.

Only teammate Pat Maynard stayed close to Stover as the pair came through the first mile in 4:56. At mile two, Stover was all alone, crossing that point in 9:53 and running a very smart, very even race. From that point on, he didn't look back and pulled away for the title.

Stover's time of 15:24 was a full 23 seconds ahead of runner up Phillip McLelland of Stockbridge. Jacob Grice of Sandusky ended up third, right behind McLelland.

In the team competition it was Williamston taking top honors with 62 points. Second place went to Hemlock with 95 points. The Williamston championship team is made up of Stover, Maynard, Mike Salisbury, David Bills, Mike Delaney, Nick Marlatt and Benjamin Pankow.
