YPSILANTI, MI: UofM senior Katie Jazwinski finished 9th overall to lead the Wolverines to a second place finish and an automatic spot at the national meet.

Former Class C High School State Champ Bethany Brewster helped lead Wisconsin's women to a first place finish by placing third overall. Brewster's teammate and '99 National champion Erica Palmer took first place in 20:17. (6K)

Individually Michigan State Junior Ann Somerville and Eastern Michigan Senior Carrie Gould finished 5th and 6th to also qualify for the National Championships.

In other Regional action news. Calvin Women's team won their Division 3 Great Lakes Regionals.

In D-2, Northern Michigan Women's Team was Regional Champs, while Hillsdale qualified their Women's team for D2 Nationals in California.
