U of M Men - Dennis Places Ninth in Weight Throw on Final Day at NCAA Indoors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Senior/junior Ethan Dennis (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grandville) of the University of Michigan men's track and field team finished ninth in the weight throw to earn All-America second team honors on the final day of the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday (March 9) at the University of Arkansas' Randal Tyson Track.
Dennis, who entered the meet seeded No. 11 in the nation, recorded his best mark of 20.53 meters (67-4.25) on his third throw to finish in ninth place and earn All-America second team recognition.
It marks the second straight year Dennis received second-team honors, as he finished 14th at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Championships.
The Wolverines will now turn their attention toward the outdoor track and field season, which will kick off with the Florida State Relays on March 22-23.
