Important Race Day Information
Start Area and Check in: Location is Hines Park-Merriman Hollow Area, which is the entrance to the Lightfest (Merriman Rd and Hines Drive, between Ann Arbor Trail and Warren Avenue in Westland, 2 ½ miles south of I-96.) Hines Drive will be closed to non-race traffic. Check in begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 6:45 p.m. The race starts at 7:00 p.m.
Since the start and finish of the race is in two different locations, please arrive early and follow one of the alternatives:
1. Park at the finish area and ride shuttle bus to the start area. The finish area is located at Hines Park-Warrendale Area (off Warren Avenue, east of Telegraph) in Dearborn Hts. THE LAST SHUTTLE LEAVES AT 6:30P.M.!
2. Have family or friends drop you off at the start area. They can park at the finish and cheer you on your arrival. From Merriman Hollow Area, turn right on Merriman Road, turn left on Warren, follow Warren past Telegraph and turn left into Warrendale Park.
3. Park at the start area at Merriman Hollow and take the shuttle bus back to your car. Parks staff will direct you where to park your car.
